Pure Genius
As we here at NorthoForbes explained just last week, we don't like sports previews that are heavy on analysis. However, as any regular reader (all 5 or 6 of you) can attest, we are also huge NHL fans, and are particularly partial to our hometown Pittsburgh Pengiuns.
With the team's training camp opening today, it's time to announce our first ever Pittsburgh Penguins season preview.
From now until opening night (October 5) we'll be pulling out all the stops: top-ten lists, columns, guest posts, timelines and maybe even a YouTube clip or two. And no X's and O's analysis; we promise.
In fact, I think calling what we're doing here a preview doesn't do it justice at all-- it's more like a labor of love. To demonstrate what we mean, take a look at the above montage of clips from the Mighty Ducks movies. Clearly that fine piece of work comes from a heartfelt appreciation for the material. Well, we're bringing the same effort and determination to this project that "forgivengrace21" gave to creating his masterpiece. By the way, setting the whole thing to Leann Rimes? Talk about a stroke of brilliance.
There's no set schedule to when things will be going up, so check back frequently. We think you'll like what you see.
